Kit Carson is a Project Geologist with more than 10 years of experience in environmental consulting. He manages and implements subsurface investigations and remedial actions under federal and state programs—including Brownfields, Superfund, and voluntary cleanup programs—across the United States, including Colorado, Montana, Utah, Tennessee, and Texas. He specializes in developing conceptual site models in complex geologic settings to guide investigations and remedial design within industrial settings and former mine sites in Colorado. He holds a BS and MS in Geological Sciences with emphases in geochemistry, mineralogy, and hydrology.
Sharla Benjamin is a Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience in biological systems engineering, with a focus on stream and ecosystem restoration after urbanization, flood, or fire; and lately after legacy mining. Her expertise ranges from stream monitoring to project design to project management and construction oversight. Over the years she has been a consultant as well as a federal, state, city, and county project lead.
